How to Erect a Frame Tent
You will need at least 2 people to erect tents up to 6m wide.
![]() | Step 1 Mark the outline of your tent out on the ground. Layout the framework as shown. |
Bolt the 'A' Frames together using the locking pins and R clips to a maximum of 3 bays. Ensure the corner and 2 way eave joints are partnered correctly. | Push the Eave Rails onto the Eave joints and bolt. Push the next 'A' Frame onto the Eave Rails and attach the roof purlin, creating the Roof truss. |
| Step 2 Insert gable end wall triangles by feeding keder into channelised aluminium frame (undo zips first). Lift one side of the tent, locate the Uprights onto the Eave Joints and bolt. Repeat on other side to complete the Framework. |
![]() | Step 3 Slide keder on each edge of roof cover into top channel of roof beam. Ensure tensioning pockets are facing down. Use rings and ropes to evenly pull roof cover over framework. To avoid ponding, tension up roof sheets using shockcord and 'S' hooks onto the lower outside track of the eave rail. For 'hard tensioning' use bars and ratchets provided.
|
![]() | Step 4 Split the side wall panels into their 2 halves, feed the keder into the upright using the slots provided in the outside channel. Feed the nylon sliders into the remaining lower channel on the eave rail, sliding them along much like a curtain until they meet in the middle. Lace or zip together. |
![]() | Step 5 The remaining gable wall is fed down the top of the uprights (undo zips first). Feed the leading edge of the roof into the top of the uprights. |
![]() | Step 6 Fix the feet to the ground by means of the steel pegs through the larger holes Push ground rails through pocket at the bottom of the wall and pin to feet Inspect tent, tensioning and weighing down where appropriate. Enjoy well earned cup of tea! |
